Trainee Actuarial / Pricing Analyst - Accident & Health City of London up to £25,000 The Actuarial Analyst will be based in London as an Analyst within the Life, Accident & Health pricing team. The team consists of four Actuaries & Analysts in the UK who work very closely with the product Underwriters. There will be significant contact with our Underwriters and actuaries globally and there will also be contact with the actuaries in other product lines. About The Role: The Accident & Health (A&H) business is growing rapidly and includes Personal Accident and Disability, Business and Leisure Travel, Primary and Expat Medical Insurance. As an Actuarial Analyst you will: ·provide actuarial support to the Underwriters ·be able to manage multiple work streams across multi-disciplinary teams in several international offices. ·Have / quickly gain an understanding of the suite Accident & Health Products The position supports rating tool development, case pricing, price monitoring, portfolio management, outwards reinsurance modelling and business planning. Key Duties: ·Represent actuarial in A&H management meetings ·Understand data and processes ·Perform Profitability Analyses as needed to provide business guidance to Underwriting ·Perform Planning Analysis, including development of exhibits and use of planning software ·Development and maintenance of effective price monitoring processes ·Development of benchmark premiums ·Development of new pricing tools as needed ·Development of benchmark premiums and calibration of rating factors based on exposure data already captured ·Ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing underwriting tools and pricing models to enable better underwriting decisions ·Providing actuarial support for Reinsurance Treaty renewals and Enterprise Risk Management ·Capital modeling support including development of underwriting risk assumptions, review of technical provisions and capital model output Key Experience: ·Degree educated ·Previous experience of working with Emblem, R, VBA or SQL highly beneficial ·Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Access Ref 6733 MW Appointments is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
