Graduate Geotechnical Support Engineer A leading provider of material testing equipment, due to growth are now looking to recruit a Graduate Geotechnical Support Engineer to join their existing technical support team based at their head office in north Hampshire and in customer laboratories worldwide. Reporting into the Technical Resources Manager the successful individual will be responsible for: Preparing and maintaining product manuals Assembling and QA testing of customer specific material testing equipment orders ready for shipment In-house testing and calibration of products, software and systems De-bug and problem solve issues with customer equipment at head office and in the field via telephone, remote support or onsite. Recording and updating documentation associated with QA and customer orders Installing and providing equipment training at customer premises both in the UK and internationally. Experience of using MS Office for report writing and interpreting scientific data. The client is looking for individuals who are degree qualified within Civil or Geotechnical Engineering and preferably be able to demonstrate some experience within soil mechanics and/or geotechnical lab testing; have a basic understanding and confidence to work with electrical/electronic components and systems together the ability to think logically and problem solve software, mechanical and electrical issues. Individuals must possess a high standard of personal presentation and excellent communication skills, be organised, methodical and the ability to handle multiple tasks. In return this position is offering a salary in the region of £20,000 - £30,000 together with 21 days holiday increasing with service to 25 days, company pension, company bonus and flexitime.
