Then look no further as my well-established client is looking out for an ambitious and ready-to-learn Graduate Civil Engineer, with a degree in Civil Engineering and/or relevant UK experience of minimum 1 years' within underground structures, tunnelling and transportation design. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Job Responsibilities: Developing designs and conducting structural analysis for tunnels, underground structures, foundations and groundworks considering factors such as soil mechanics, geology, hydrology, and environmental impacts. Conducting site investigations to gather data on soil conditions, groundwater levels, and other relevant geological factors to inform the design process. Overseeing the construction of tunnels and underground structures, ensuring that construction activities comply with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Assisting in the development of project plans and schedules, including estimating costs, materials, and manpower requirements for tunneling and underground construction projects. Collaborating with other engineers, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to coordinate project activities and ensure compliance with project requirements. Assessing the environmental impact of tunneling and underground construction projects and implementing measures to minimize environmental damage and ensure sustainability. Communicating with clients to understand their requirements, provide project updates, and address any concerns or issues that may arise during the course of the project.
