The Team The team’s focus is on driving and extracting actionable insights from a variety of client datasets, including transactional, digital, customer, and web data. You'll be delivering these insights via a combination of data exploration and deep dive analytics, using a range of both traditional statistical modelling techniques and machine learning processes. You will also work alongside clients’ in-house analytical teams, offering you the opportunity to learn new technical skills from a wider network of experts, as well as make valuable connections for the future. The Role Within your first year, you’ll get involved with analytical processes from beginning to end, from pitching services to new clients and creating briefs, to deep-dive analytical work and data visualisation, all the way through to working with your clients to develop strategies, implement your findings, and to help them achieve their wider business objectives. It’s a great opportunity to work with a broad variety of clients (travel, finance, retail, fashion, entertainment), in a variety of ways (in house support/off site projects), and with different types of data (transactional, demographic, web). The ideal Junior/Graduate Data Analyst will have some previous knowledge of analytics and be exceptionally keen to learn new analysis techniques using various software packages such as SAS, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and Power BI. Required Skills & Qualifications: Educated to degree level - ideally from a computing, numerate or business-related degree or having completed some data analysis modules on your degree Highly numerate, with strong attention to detail Solutions orientated with natural problem-solving skills Good working knowledge of Excel (preferably including some VBA and experience with pivot tables) Good working knowledge and practical application of PowerPoint (or similar data visualization/graph/charting software) Self motivated and pro-active, with an ability to multi-task, prioritise, be organised, and plan your work Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a willingness to engage and influence others A team player with a positive attitude Personable, adaptable, and willing to learn Nice to Have: Experience of using data analysis tools such as SAS, SQL, R or Python Experience of statistical modelling techniques such as CHAID, Regression, Clustering, segmentation, or predictive modelling Experience of machine learning techniques 1 yrs experience working in a similar data analysis role In return, they offer a competitive salary with workplace pension (where eligible) and benefits, a generous holiday entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays, the opportunity to work flexibly, and ongoing training and development opportunities.
