Summary of the job roleCivil Engineering Operations Support - Graduate Opportunity Telford - great location for Shrewsbury, Telford, Wolverhampton, Cannock and surrounding areas. Salary - £20-£25k Our client has a new opportunity within their Operations Team and is very open to supporting the development of graduates - this is a great opportunity for a graduate in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Engineering Project Management or similar, to get a first career job and route into Operations or Project or Site Management roles. Starting at the heart of operations management and working directly for the Operations Manager, you will support projects and the teams of people who work on them. You will have exposure to the management of project planning: timelines, budgets and Client requirements. This is a new role and it will be up to you to visit other offices within the organisation and recommend how best to set up systems and processes. Specifically you will be responsible for: . Supporting resource planning - keeping workforce and training records up to date and running real time reports; supporting the allocation of core staff to projects and the hiring of additional skills and trades when required . Co-ordinating on-boarding, compliance and mandatory training - making sure the workforce is always up-to-date and ready to be deployed . Maintaining accurate records that can be available to or audited by clients and regulatory authorities at any time . Maintaining fleet administration - reconciling fuel cards, processing insurance claims, tacograph data processing etc. . Keeping the teams updated - anticipating and solving resourcing problems and communicating them to the Operations Manager, Project Managers, Site Managers and Clients. The role can and will include so much more, depending on the skills and ambition of the successful candidate. We are looking for a self-starter with a level-head and a methodical approach. Must have good computer skills and good communication skills. Must have relevant experience or relevant degree and career interest in working in Civil Engineering.
