We are the leading producer of sugar for the British and Irish food and beverage markets, processing around eight million tonnes of sugar beet and producing up to 1.4 million tonnes of sugar each year.
Our innovative approach to manufacturing also enables us to create a range of co-products from power generation and bioethanol, to animal feed and much more. Our graduate opportunities At British Sugar we offer graduate schemes in Science and Engineering. It is a two-year programme, starting every September with rotational placements so you can gain experience of different areas of our business. The programme has set knowledge targets which are measured formally throughout. The framework ensures that everyone is given the opportunity and support to develop the necessary skills, to be ready for appointment. We are committed to investing in people development and building our talent pipeline, and graduates are guaranteed responsibility early on, as recruitment is based on succession for Senior Managers and Technical Experts.
