About Us

As a one of the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of Soda Ash and associated products Brunner Mond plays an essential role in many areas of everyday life. Soda ash is a vital constituent in a wide range of manufacturing processes including those for glass, detergents and industrial chemicals.

The company has manufacturing plants in Northwich, Cheshire, where it has its headquarters; in Delfzijl, The Netherlands; and at Lake Magadi in Kenya. The company also operates a transportation terminal and sales office at Durban, South Africa..

12 Month Placement Scheme

The placement scheme offers 12 months of valuable work experience as well as the opportunity to increase your knowledge and develop through structured training.

The scheme allows Brunner Mond the opportunity to achieve company and department objectives whilst adding value to the student’s work experience and the student’s degree programme..

The student will work in our open-plan Finance Department within our HQ at Northwich, Cheshire and will provide support to the Finance Team.

Our Requirements

The candidate must be in Year 2 of an Accounting & Finance, Business Studies or any other Finance related degree/modules. The candidate must have good communications skills and be able to use those skills at all levels within the organisation. The candidate must be able to manage and organise their own workload to ensure deadlines are met and work well under pressure. Good working knowledge of Excel, spreadsheets, macros, pivot tables is required as well as other Microsoft packages and the internet. A full clean UK driving licence would be an advantage.


21 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays.
