Those with under 3 years experience can typically expect to earn between £22,000 and £35,000 a year, which then typically increases with experience to between £32,000 and £53,000 a year.

Those who reach manager or director level can expect this to increase again to over £70,000 a year.

What qualifications does an Auditor need?

Although the minimum entry requirement for auditing jobs is two A levels (or their equivalent), the majority of employers now expect candidates to have an undergraduate degree.

In addition to this, applicants must have two years accountancy experience and a recognised practicing certificate before they are permitted to conduct audits.
