Coventry Building Society been in business since 1884 and are now the 3rd largest building society in the UK, with branches up and down the country, over 1.5 million members and assets of over £21 billion.
We think the secret to our success is that we're a mutual Society. This means we don't have external shareholders so we can make every decision with the interests of our members in mind.
A great team
Three-quarters of our staff are directly involved with serving our members. They're at the centre of everything we do. And with such an important role in our business, we know that having the right individuals makes all the difference.
To continue to offer such a high level of service, we depend on a diverse team of people that share a common quality - they all have a passion for great customer service. But what's our secret for attracting the right people? That's simple - we make our employees feel valued, treat them fairly and offer them a supportive working environment with all the right opportunities.
A great place to work
We understand the importance of making our members and employees feel valued. We aim to ensure that all of our employees have equal opportunities to progress in their careers and enjoy working at the Coventry.
It's this approach that makes the Coventry a happy place to work, has given us Investor in People status since 1997 (achieving gold status in 2012) and has also won us numerous industry awards, for our approach to training and development.
