          The city itself does not have a train station but Harrogate and Thirsk stations are easily accessible by bus, both around a 40 minute journey. Harrogate Rail Station provides both a direct train to London King's Cross as well as links to major stations such as Leeds and York, both providing several national services.

          The closest Airport to Ripon is Leeds Bradford and is approximately 45 minutes by car. Alternatively it takes an hour and a half by bus. To reach the airport by train first travel to Leeds Rail Station and then catch the direct route to the airport.

          There are numerous cycle routes in and around the city, both on roads and through the surrounding country.
