Stoke-on-Trent lies in the county of Staffordshire and is situated between Manchester and Birmingham. Stoke is most famously known for being the home of the pottery industry in England. Local transport is mostly dominated by the bus network. They provide links in and around the city. The National Express Coach also provides long-distance links from the city.

Stoke-on-Trent has spent a lot of money on building off-road cycle routes through the city.

As well as this there are a number of restaurants offering a variety of cuisines and The Regent Theatre, hosting a number of touring London shows as well as comedy acts and ballets.
Notable Attractions
With such a rich industrial history as well as beautiful surrounding countryside and parks, you will never be short of activities to do. Alternatively, if you fancy a relaxing cycle ride, a trip along the Trent and Merseyside Canal is a fun day out.
The economy in Stoke
Stoke on Trent is still a major centre for the ceramics trade which has been running in the city since the 1300, although most production has now been moved from the area. Stoke is made up of a large service sector as well as business and in 2016 was awarded second best city in which to start a business by Quality Formations. The tourism trade also draws a lot of revenue for the area. Michelin has its headquarters in the city.
