A career with us is about making a difference to people's lives every day. Together, our people make sure the lights are on in schools, operating theatres and sporting arenas, and that homes are heated and water is boiled.
In the UK, National Grid doesn't generate or sell power. We join the dots. Our high-voltage electricity and high-pressure gas transmission systems connect homes and businesses to the energy they use.
Our job is to make sure demand is matched by supply. And thanks to impressive expertise and genuine dedication, joining us, you'll make sure we deliver every time.
About National Grid

National Grid is at the heart of one of the greatest challenges facing our society; we deliver clean energy to support our world long into the future, promoting the development and implementation of sustainable, innovative and affordable energy solutions.
We are proud that our work, and our people, underpin the prosperity and wellbeing of our customers, communities and investors.
You are the future of energy
With real responsibility from day one and the chance to produce outstanding, visible results that have the power to affect an entire nation, it's only fair that our graduates are rewarded accordingly with an outstanding package and comprehensive training and development opportunities.
Our graduate programme is an 18 month- long roller-coaster ride of learning which consists of three, six month placements (with the exception of the Finance Graduate programme which is three years long consisting of three, 12 month placements).
It's the perfect start to your career that'll see you develop your skills and experience through a variety of comprehensive training modules, from hands on technical training to personal development/soft skills training. Along the way, you'll be supported by not only a dedicated New Talent Team, but also managers and colleagues.
