The job

Summary of the job role

They're a high-profile startup at the heart of Europe’s Financial Technology (FinTech) scene with a culture unparalleled in the world of finance.

They started life in 2012 with a simple but powerful idea — what if instead of going to the bank, businesses could search for finance online just like individuals do for car insurance or hotels? Along the way they've figured out lots of ways not to do it, and one or two that really work, and they now match UK businesses with lenders across the whole spectrum of business finance.

They want to work with people who think creatively, try new things and are looking to make a real difference. Collaboration is a great way to move the business forward, and in their daily standups you will regularly hear developers giving an opinion on marketing strategy or account managers talking about tech. They're always on the lookout for talented, motivated, intelligent people to join their team - with fast progression to Broker!

As a Graduate Sales Consultant, our client can offer you:

- The opportunity to be part of rapidly scaling a high-profile brand at the heart of Europe’s FinTech scene
- The freedom to blaze a trail and create a legacy
- Career progression within a fast-growing organisation
- Uncapped commission — over-performance is rewarded
- The opportunity to thrive in a business that values and rewards perseverance, ownership, teamwork and a desire to continue learning
- A diverse team of people who love what they do, and know why they get out of bed every morning

How you'll expect to spend your day

Key objectives:

- Provide their team of Business Finance Specialists with a healthy pipeline of new Sales prospects, enabling them to exceed ambitious growth targets
- Take the time to understand more about the businesses you speak with (how they work, growth plans, challenges, their experience of raising finance so far)

- Test new lead sources and data, as the front line of their new lead generation efforts
- Cleanse cold Sales data lists to eventually support the creation of future warm Sales prospects
- Follow up on targeted marketing campaigns, allowing them to judge the effectiveness of their customer nurture programme and other customer communications

What you'll do:

- Contact and engage with their historic database of small business customers. These are customers who have previously interacted with them and enquired about finance
- Become confident in articulating their proposition and service. You will undergo extensive Sales training, to learn how to handle common objections through a mixture of theory and practical training
- Build up extensive knowledge of business finance — you will learn about a variety of debt products and gain an understanding of the wide variety of lenders in the market
- Cold calling warm leads
- Work closely with the Business Finance Specialists, and learn useful Sales tactics and techniques from their experienced outbound team
- Play a key role in their customer nurture programme for Sales prospects that do not immediately need finance
- Book in appropriate and timely call-backs, and provide follow-up information to those looking to explore finance in the future
- Maintain accurate, current information on any prospects that you speak with in Salesforce
