Life at Toyota for graduates

At Toyota, we are inspired by our core values - Respect for People and Continuous Improvement. We are committed to helping our employees and the staff within our dealer network get the best out of the company and each other. Working across both the Toyota and Lexus brands, we believe our passionate, enthusiastic and talented people are key to our continuing success. We'd like you to be part of that… Who we are Toyota Motor Corporation is a Japanese multinational automotive manufacturer headquartered in Japan. As of 2016, we were the world's largest automotive manufacturer, and also the ninth-largest company in the world by revenue. Toyota was the world's first car maker to produce more than 10 million vehicles per year which we have done since 2012, when we also reported the production of our 200-millionth vehicle. We have nearly 340,000 employees worldwide. Careers with us Development is everything at Toyota. It's an intrinsic part of the way we work - the unique management philosophy that's made us an automotive leader. At its heart is the Japanese concept of kaizen - a belief that no process can ever be declared perfect; that there's always a better way. You can see it in our world-leading processes, our innovative products and, of course, in the way we develop our people. UK graduate programme We take on graduates in four areas: Business Operations Management, HR, Finance and engineering. Wherever you join us, you'll experience working life on the shop floor where we produce our Auris and Avensis models. It's demanding - but we think it's the only way to understand our unique culture and the world-famous Toyota Production System. Find out more about our schemes HERE. We place great emphasis on learning by doing - usually through structured, on-the-job training. So, over the course of our programme, you'll find yourself tackling live projects and taking on real responsibilities in your chosen field. Our graduate programme lasts just over two years, it is assessed and designed to help you reach the standard needed to move into a specialist position at the end of the programme.
