Job Description

A leading corporate banking and capital markets organisation is seeking a Junior Corporate and Investor Solutions Specialist Intern to join the team in London. Main Purpose of this role Corporate Solutions is a division within the Financial Markets Corporate Sales (part of the Capital Markets area) which is responsible for aspects such as data development and analysis, client risk management analysis and financial product structuring. With respect to the data development and analysis, we are now recruiting interns who are outstanding technologists from a Computer Science or similar background. Our team is a small, highly collaborative and multi-disciplinary team based in London and Frankfurt. We work closely with colleagues at all levels in the bank to achieve what is required. New colleagues are quickly integrated into teams and have the opportunity to actively contribute from the very start. The role involves working closely with Sales and Trading teams. Start: May 2024 Duration: 6 months with potential to roll Key activities and key competencies Talent and passion for writing performant code Capable of challenging the status quo Outstanding conceptual thinking and ability to clearly articulate ideas in complex domains Ability to multitask and work closely with a wide range of people Ability to work autonomously and drive change Key Requirements (Work Experience/Formal Education) Graduated in the last 12 months The successful candidate is likely to be educated to degree level in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or similar highly quantitative discipline. Expected to or have achieved a minimum 2.1 UK bachelors degree (or equivalent) Some business knowledge from a previous internship within Financial Services a plus Understanding of financial products at a theoretical and practical level. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Primary coding language is R, but experience in either in this program or Python Team player Strong verbal and written communication skills Fluent English Some knowledge of transformative technologies (Cloud, AI, APIs etc) a plus
