TFL

Our company in a nutshell

You'll be surprised what you discover with Transport for London: a rich heritage, a commercial outlook, an iconic brand, a unique public service. It all adds up to make TfL a great place to develop your career and help busy Londoners to go about their capital lives with ease.

Who are we?

Transport for London is a local government body responsible for the transport system in Greater London, England. Our head office is in Windsor House in the City of Westminster. TfL has responsibility for London's network of principal road routes, for various rail networks including the London Underground, London Overground, Docklands Light Railway and TfL Rail, for London's trams, buses and taxis, for cycling provision, and for river services.

Every day more than 31 million journeys are made across our network. Our programmes of transport capital investment is one of the world's largest. We are building the Elizabeth line, modernising Tube services and stations, transforming the road network and making it safer, especially for more vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists.
